Cheesy Cabbage Soup

1/2 small head of cabbage chopped
1 cup chopped onion
6 cups water
2 tsp. minced garlic
1/2 bag mixed frozen vegetables or 8 oz.
4 tbsp chicken flavored soup base or use 4 chicken bouillon cubes


Cook the ingredients listed above on high for 8 to 10 hours. 1/2 hour before serving add 1/2 cup dry milk and 1 cup of cubed processed cheese (Velveeta or store brand) stir well and cook until cheese has melted. May want to add more cheese depending on your tastes.
