Broccoli and Cheese Soup

1 onion, chopped or 4 T. minced onions
1/2 stick butter or margarine
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 large can evaporated milk (12 oz. can)
1 lb. Velveeta cheese
16 oz. bag frozen chopped broccoli

Sauté onion in butter (I mixed the minced onion with the melted 1/2 stick of butter).

Place all ingredients in slow cooker, mix a bit, and cook on low until hot.

Thaw the broccoli and drain--cooking time is just enough to get everything hot, about 2 to 4 hours (depending on cooker).
