Cream of Wild Rice Soup

2 tb Butter or margarine
1 c Chopped onion
1 1/2 tb Flour
2 c Water
2 c Chicken broth
2 c Milk
1 pk (6.25-oz) Uncle Ben's fast cooking long grain & wild rice
1/4 ts Thyme leaves; crushed

Melt butter in 3-quart saucepan. Add onion and cook until tender, but not brown. Stir in flour. Gradually stir in water, broth and milk. Add contents of rice and seasoning packets and thyme; stir. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
