Lentil and Savory Soup

1 c Green lentils
5 c Water
1 Onion, chopped
2 Carrots, chopped
1 Parsnip, chopped
1 ts Salt
1 Sprig savory
1 tb Plain flour
3 ts Savory, finely chopped

Wash the lentils, and put in a saucepan with water, onion, carrot, parsnip, salt and the sprig of savory. Simmer until soft. Press through a sieve or puree in a blender. Return to the saucpan. Smooth the flour with a little water and add to the soup. Stir until boiling. Add the finely chopped savory and serve hot.
