Barley Mushroom Soup

6 1/2 c Water
1/2 c Barley
1 md Onion; chopped
1 tb Soy sauce
1 tb Dried parsley
2 ts Dill weed
1/2 ts Ground cumin
1/4 ts Garlic powder
1/8 ts Fresh ground pepper
1/8 ts Wasabi powder
1/2 lb Fresh mushrooms; sliced
2 c Shredded cabbage

Place the water, barley, onion and seasonings in a large pot. Cover and cook over medium heat for 30 minutes. Add the mushrooms and cabbage and cook for another 30 minutes.
