Wild Rice Soup

3/4 lb Bacon; browned drained & crumbled
1 Onion; diced
2 cn (8 oz.) mushrooms; drained or fresh
3 cn Cream of potato soup
1 pt Half and half
3/4 c White wine (or increase water 3/4 c If you prefer)
1 c Water
1/2 c Raw wild rice; cooked , (up to 1)
2 c Shredded american cheese
Salt and pepper to taste


Combine ingredients including the cooked wild rice. Place in slow cooker on low. Leftovers may be frozen.
