Hungarian Christmas Vigil Soup

4 tb Butter
1 Onion; diced fine
1 Garlic clove; minced
4 tb Flour
White pepper
1 ts Paprika
1 qt Sauerkraut juice*
8 oz Fresh mushrooms; finely cut
Salt
Hungarian square noodles
1 qt Water

In a large kettle, melt butter and saute onion with garlic. Stir in flour and paprika. Add all remaining ingred. Bring to a boil, then serve with cooked Hungarian square noodles or others small noodles. *To suit your taste.
