French Onion Soup

4 lg Onions, sliced
1/4 c Butter or margarine
10 3/4 oz Can condensed chicken broth
10 3/4 oz Can condensed beef broth
Hot water
Toasted French bread slices
2 c Shredded Swiss cheese
1/4 c Grated Parmesan cheese

Combine onions and butter in a 2 quart casserole. Cover and microwave on High for 6 to 8 minutes, or until onions are tender and translucent, stirring once.

Combine chicken and beef broth in a 4 cup measure. Add enough hot water to equal 4 cups. Add mixture to onions. Cover and microwave on High for 4 to 6 minutes, or until hot.

Ladle soup evenly into 4 individual soup bowls. Top with bread slices. Sprinkle with cheeses. Microwave on High for 5 to 7 minutes, or until cheese melts, rearranging bowls once or twice.
