Artichoke-oyster Soup

1 stick butter or margarine
1/2 c. chopped green onions
1 lg. white onion, chopped
1 lg. can artichoke hearts, drained, save liquid
2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 chicken bouillon cubes
2 doz. oysters, save liquid
Salt, pepper & oregano


Saute onions in butter. Add 2 cups of oyster and artichoke liquid to the pot and simmer 5 minutes. Dissolve cornstarch in a little water - just enough to make a paste. Add this to simmered liquid and cook until thick, about 5 minutes. Add artichoke hearts, cut into small pieces and season. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add oysters and cook for 5 minutes. Serves 6.
