Beef Soup

1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped celery
1 (1 lb. 12 oz.) can tomatoes
2 beef bouillon cubes
1/3 c. reg. uncooked rice
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 bay leaf
2 1/2 c. water


Brown hamburger, onion and celery. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove bay leaf. Makes 2 quarts.
