Beef Vegetable Soup Microwave

1 lb. ground beef
4 c. water
1 can (16 oz.) tomatoes, broken up liquid reserved
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
1 c. uncooked noodles
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 bay leaf
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. ground pepper

Place ground beef in 3 quart microproof casserole; break up with fork. Cook on high 4 to 5 minutes or until beef is no longer red stirring once while cooking. Break up ground beef with fork. Drain. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover. Cook on high 27 to 30 minutes or until mixture boils and noodles are cooked stirring every 10 minutes. Let stand covered 10 minutes. Discard bay leaf before serving. 8 servings. Cooking time - 31 to 35 minutes.
