Cabbage Cheddar Chowder

1 lb. ground beef
2 stalks celery, about 1 cup
1 sm. onion, chopped 1/4 cup
1/2 sm. green pepper, chopped
1/2 med. head cabbage, shredded
1/2 c. water
3 c. milk
2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
3 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. sliced pimento

Cook and stir ground beef, celery, onion and green pepper in pot until vegetables are tender, drain. Stir in cabbage and water. Cover and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is desired doneness about 10 minutes. Stir in milk, cheese, flour, salt, nutmeg, and pepper. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Garnish each serving with pimento. Serves 8.
