Cabbage Soup

1 sm. head cabbage, shredded
3/4 lb. bacon, fried
1 pt. tomatoes
Pepper and salt

Cook cabbage until tender. Do not drain. Fry bacon. Remove from skillet. Add flour to drippings and brown very brown. Add to cabbage. Add tomatoes and bacon and salt and pepper to taste. Add 1 tablespoon vinegar (delicious without vinegar).
