1 to 2 lb. sausage
1 lg. can tomatoes
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 lg. can tomato sauce
1 to 2 heads cabbage chopped but not fine
Salt and pepper
Use hot sausage-brown in skillet and set aside. In large pot, put tomatoes, tomato sauce, onion, salt and pepper, bay leaves and enough water to make soup. Simmer 30 minutes. Add cabbage simmer until done. Mixture should be thick but still have soup. Add sausage simmer 10 minutes. Serve with cornbread. If you don't like hot dishes use mild sausage. This recipe can be adjusted to serve any amount.
