Cheddar Cheese Soup

6 carrots, grated
3 potatoes, grated
4-6 c. water
3 tbsp. chicken bouillon
1/2 onion, chopped
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. thyme
1 bay leaf
1/8 tsp. Tabasco
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire
1 1/2 c. milk
1-2 c. shredded cheddar

Saute onion in butter until tender. Add to first 4 ingredients. Stir in seasonings. Cook until tender. Then add milk and cheese; serve immediately. Serves 6.
