Cheese Onion Soup

2 lb. yellow onions, chopped
3 qts. milk
1 lb. bacon
3/4 log Velveeta
4 rounded tbsp. flour
Pepper to taste

Cut up bacon into small pieces. Fry in a pot that you will use to cook the soup. Pour off some grease. When bacon is brown, put in chopped onions. Cook onions until clear. Add 1 quart milk. Add flour and let mixture get thick. Add remaining milk, cheese and pepper. Don't boil. The longer it cooks, the better.
