Crab and Shrimp Bisque

1 lb. crabmeat
2 lbs. sm. shrimp, peeled
2 bunches green onions, chopped
3 stalks celery, chopped fine
2 (8 oz.) whipping cream
1 tbsp. liquid smoke
4 oz. cognac
1 stick butter
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. marjoram
2 cans chicken broth
1 tsp. J.D.'s Vegetable Magic
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. white pepper


In large pot, melt butter and add green onions and celery. Saute until tender. Add flour to coat vegetables and cook 2 minutes. Add chicken broth gradually and stir to avoid lumping. Cook 5 minutes. Add liquid smoke, cognac, marjoram, Vegetable Magic, shrimp, salt, pepper and cook 10 minutes. Add crabmeat and whipping cream. Stir to blend well. Cook 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from heat. Let sit 10 minutes before serving.
