Cream of Mushroom Soup

4 tbsp. butter
1 med. onion, chopped fine
1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
4 tbsp. flour
2 c. chicken broth
2 c. evaporated milk
Salt and pepper
1 tsp. celery seed


Saute onion in butter until tender. Add mushrooms and cook 5 minutes. Stir in flour. Gradually stir in broth and milk stirring constantly until slightly thickened. Add salt, pepper and celery seed. Serve hot.
