French Onion Soup

1/3 c. margarine
1 1/2 lg. onions, sliced
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tbsp. flour
1 1/4 c. water
1 can beef broth
2 slices French bread, toasted
3 slices Mozzarella cheese

Saute onion and sugar in margarine for 20 minutes. Stir in flour. Add water and beef broth. Bring to boil. Simmer 15 minutes. Put in 2 of 3 bowls. Top with cubed bread and Mozzarella cheese. Put on cookie sheet in 425 degree oven or microwave until the cheese melts.
