German Sausage Chowder

1 lb. cooked brats
2 c. potatoes (cubed)
1 med. onion (chopped)
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. water
1 sm. head of cabbage
3 c. milk
3 tbsp. flour
1 c. Swiss cheese (shredded)


Put sausage, potatoes, onion, salt, water and cabbage in kettle. Bring to boil, then simmer for 20 minutes. Stir in 2 1/2 cups milk. Blend flour into remaining milk. Add to soup mixture. Stir in cheese.
