Instant Soup Mix

3 c. powdered milk
3 tbsp. cornstarch
3 tbsp. chicken bouillon granules
3 tbsp. dried onion flakes
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. parsley flakes

Mix all ingredients together. To prepare, whisk 1/3 cup of the soup mix with 1 cup water. Simmer uncovered over medium heat, stirring frequently for 10 minutes. It can be used successfully in recipe without precooking. Just pour water and soup mix into casserole. Try other herbs and spices to vary flavor.
