Italian Sausage Soup

1 1/2 lb. sweet Italian sausage (remove casings)
1 1/2 c. chopped onions
3 garlic cloves, chopped
2 (28 oz.) cans tomatoes
4 (14 oz.) cans beef broth
1 1/2 c. red wine or water
2 tsp. basil leaves
3 med. zucchini, sliced
1 1/2 c. ronzini sm. bows or shells
1 med. pepper
1/4 c. chopped parsley
Parmesan cheese

Brown sausage in heavy skillet, drain. Add onion and garlic, cook until tender. Add tomatoes, broth, wine, basil, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients, cover and simmer 20 minutes, or longer until pasta is tender. Season to taste. Serve with Parmesan cheese.
