Shrimp Chowder

4 lg. onions, chopped
1/4 c. margarine
1 c. boiling water
6 med. potatoes, diced
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. seasoned pepper
1 qt. milk
1 c. grated sharp cheddar cheese
2 lbs. shrimp


Saute onions in margarine. Add water, potatoes and other seasonings and cook until tender. Add shrimp. Cook 5 minutes. Add milk and cheese. Stir until melted.
