Swedish Fruit Soup

4 c. mixed dried fruit (12 oz.) such as prunes, pears, apricots, peaches, apples and raisins
4 to 5 c. water or juice such as apple, grape, orange or juice and part water
1 lemon, thinly sliced (optional)
2 tbsp. Minute Tapioca
1 stick cinnamon (optional)


Mix together in large kettle. Cook covered until fruits are tender, 25 to 35 minutes. Serve hot or cold. Pass half and half or vanilla yogurt for topping, if desired. Makes 8 servings. Keeps well and just gets better.
